Sin City's Hottest Ticket! CD from Straight Arrow
In private, Elvis was fighting his personal demons at the time, but on stage he was delivering the goods. Perhaps his delivery was not quite as tight as at earlier Vegas engagements, but he was in good voice and genuinely seemed to enjoy the interaction with the fans. The shows presented here are two solid, engaging performances with plenty of highlights, including a gorgeous ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' and a rare-for-this-engagement one to last performance of ‘Something'.
It should be noted that neither of these superb-quality, off-line concert recordings have been previously issued. The August 23, 1973 Dinner show is completely new, even to die-hard Elvis fans. This concert was never in circulation, in any form.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
