The only drawback of 'He Didn't Come Back ... We Did' is that a couple songs were just black all the way through with no footage. If there is no footage I would much rather the 'material' be left off the DVD until such time that footage is included. If this means the total run time of the footage being a couple minutes less, that's ok, however, this release is still awesome - and is an essential purchase for the die hard collector.
It should be noted that in grading the quality here, one compares in mind that this material is not officially available and proably never will be, so while it is not of the quality that you would expect of a full commercial release, for what it is, and how it has escaped the vaults, it is well worth watching, and actually far superior to some releases in years gone by. But hopefully we will get that 40 hours worth of 'Elvis On Tour' in an ultimate 'Elvis On Tour' box set pretty soon! In terms of the production, everything has been superbly well done, and sets the bar very high in terms of quality for future Elvis On Tour, TTWII release material.
The sound and video is a significant step above most releases of this type of material.

Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD + 16 page booklet.
Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever.
This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
