Elvis and Priscilla Presley were married on May 1, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Aladdin Hotel, and daughter Lisa Marie was born nine months (to the day) later on February 1, 1968. Priscilla Beaulieu Presley (born Priscilla Ann Wagner on May 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York) is an American model, author and actress and the only wife of Elvis Presley. Her biological father, James Wagner, was a pilot who was killed in a plane crash when Priscilla was just an infant. Her mother, Norwegian-American Anna Lillian Iversen, then married Paul Beaulieu, a United States Air Force officer. Beaulieu took over the raising of Priscilla and is known as her father. The Beaulieus were stationed in West Germany at the same time as Elvis during his stint in the United States Army.
Sofia Coppola's movie 'Priscilla' debuted at the Venice Film Festival where the film received a seven-minute ovation from the audience. The movie is nominated for a Golden Lion in the 'Best Film' category.
It's a love story for the ages, and Sofia Coppola is ready to tell it. On Wednesday, A24 shared the first teaser-trailer for the writer-director's upcoming biopic, Priscilla, which depicts Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley and Euphoria's Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley. 'Priscilla, what about boys at school? There must be some handsome ones', Priscilla is asked in the teaser.
Sofia Coppola will direct a Priscilla Presley Biopic based on Priscilla's 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me. Starring Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, 'Priscilla' will chronicle Presley's torrid, one-of-a-kind romance with the king of rock and roll. Born Priscilla Ann Wagner in 1945, she was only 14 when she caught the eye of a then 24-year-old Elvis Presley during his military service in Germany. The pair eventually got married in 1967 and had a daughter, Lisa Marie, before separating in 1972. It's easy to see why Coppola would be drawn to interpreting her one-of-a-kind life for the screen.
Priscilla Presley has discussed her relationship with Elvis, following the release of Baz Luhrmann's Elvis' biopic.
In the history of popular culture, few images are as iconic as those of the so-called 'king of rock and roll' Elvis Aaron Presley. With more than half a billion records sold globally since 1956, he is the best-selling solo artist in music history - his place in the history books feels assured.

'Elvis and Me' is a mini-series based on Priscilla Presley's best-selling book of the same name. Starring Dale Midkiff as Elvis and Susan Walters as Priscilla, the movie stays true to what Priscilla wrote in conjunction with Sandra Harmon and was a ratings blockbuster when aired on TV over two nights in 1988. When HBO premieres Elvis Presley: The Searcher this spring, fans of the King will get an unprecedentedly deep look at his life and music, from his first forays into Memphis blues clubs to his early stardom, up through his late '60s comeback and exhausting '70s touring. The nearly three-and-a-half-hour-long, two-part documentary (which will also get a soundtrack released through Sony/Legacy) features new interviews with scholars, stars like
Bruce Springsteen and the late
Tom Petty, and -- most notably --
Priscilla Presley, who famously met the superstar when she was 14 and was married to him from 1967 to 1973.
So many of us have spent Christmas with Elvis' music, but
Priscilla Presley actually spent Christmas with Elvis. Priscilla shares heartwarming memories of holidays with the King, from the first time they ever exchanged gifts to their tree-trimming traditions as a married couple living at Graceland, to how that changed when Priscilla gave birth to their daughter,
Lisa Marie, and how Priscilla feels when she hears Elvis' music now.
I thoroughly enjoyed
Priscilla Presley in Melbourne last night. I really did not know what to expect so I observed with interest just as much as listened and watched. To hear Priscilla talk about Elvis, how they met and their life together was truly special and as promised it was a rare insight into Priscilla's life with Elvis. While some people have the privilege of knowing Priscilla personally, the rest of us can be very pleased that we have the opportunity to spend 2 hours in this way. Priscilla as well as being a very big part of Elvis' life, and the mother of his only child, is the most authentic and closest to Elvis we have.
Priscilla Presley: 'I start my show off saying, 'You're probably wondering why I'm doing this'. I think it's time. I feel much more comfortable with crowds, with people and with talking', says Priscilla Presley. 'I just want to clear up so many things that have been altered or perceived differently. I want to put the record straight from my side'. Priscilla is the only one to have the story of being his wife, confidant, friend, accomplice and the mother of his child. To prepare, I read her memoir, Elvis and Me. Among other things, Priscilla shares intimate details about their 18 years together, the complications of it all and the life of the king.

Interview with Priscilla Presley by Alan Jones (Australia Radio Sept 4, 2017).
She was married to the late Elvis Presley for six years, prior to his death in 1977. And in an interview with the Today show's Richard Wilkins, aired Wednesday, Priscilla Presley candidly spoke on life with the iconic singer. Admitting that she never viewed her husband as a worldwide phenomenon, the 72-year-old revealed a vulnerable and softer side to his persona: 'He poured his heart out to me'. 'I still remember, vividly, picking up the phone, the reaction of not believing it, there was no way I could comprehend…' she said. 'Going back to Graceland and hearing his father wailing, crying, crying out his name, it was probably the most heartbreaking sound I'd ever heard. Priscilla appeared on the Channel Nine breakfast program to promote her upcoming Australian tour in November, that will see her share stories from her fascinating life.

Lisa Marie Presley was photographed on May 29 arriving at the home of her mother Priscilla with her oldest daughter
Riley Keough as the mother-of-four enjoyed a day out with her three girls after a difficult few months. It marked one of the very few occasions that the 49-year-old has ever been seen with all of her girls, and was the first time that Lisa has been photographed with her 8-year-old twins Finley and Harper since they were sent to live with
Priscilla Presley in February.
SHE was the wife of rock 'n' roll's reigning king - a union that put Priscilla Presley on an irreversible path to stardom. And though 2017 marks 40 years since the passing of Elvis, the association between her and the legendary performer is still as strong as ever. 'I miss his laughter', she says, eyes brightening at the memory. 'His laughter was so contagious. He'd start and everyone would start - they didn't know what they were laughing about, they just got so much enjoyment from being with him.

Wife of the king of rock'n'roll, Michael Jackson's mother-in-law and ... it's been an extraordinary life for a woman who has been in the spotlight since she moved in with Elvis at the age of 14. Today, she says, she would rather talk about the music. She talks about the first time she saw him play live, when he made his legendary
'68 Comeback Special on TV, shortly after she had given birth to their only child,
Lisa Marie. 'I was in the audience and I looked at him and thought: 'Oh my God, I had no idea!' she says, laughing. 'I thought: 'He's really good! He's really sexy! Oh my God!'
On August 27, 1965, Elvis Presley met The Beatles at his California home. One memorable evening,
the Colonel arranged for Elvis to meet four famous people. But I believe it was the Beatles who were eager to meet Elvis, not the other way around. In fact, when John, Paul, Ringo and George walked in, Elvis was relaxing on the couch, looking at TV without the sound. He barely bothered to get up. Naturally he was curious about the Beatles. He respected them. Mostly he respected the way they had achieved their artistic freedom. He saw how they did whatever they liked to do. There are no photos from that historic meeting between the King of Rock 'n' Roll and The Fab Four, but Priscilla Presley recalls that evening ...
Priscilla Presley interviewed by Larry King August 16, 2007.
Well it seems it is on for real, a Beverly Hills auction house began accepting bids Friday for Elvis Presley's former personal planes, the
Lisa Marie and
Hound Dog II. The auction appeared to dump cold water on a social media-fuelled campaign pleading with
Graceland operators to keep the planes on display, as they've been for 30 years. Graceland's new owners stirred controversy last April by moving to end a joint venture with the planes' owners, a Tennessee-based group called OKC Partnership. Graceland notified OKC that the planes had to be removed from Graceland on or shortly after April 26, 2015. AND words are flying between fans and EPE, and Priscilla has again responded to the criticism.
Priscilla Presley interview with Barbara Walters 1985.
Country singer Miranda Lambert got a shout out from the queen herself, Priscilla Presley, regarding her new song 'Priscilla'. The song pays homage to the pressure of having a famous husband, something Lambert understands with her 'The Voice' star husband, Blake Shelton, who's also a famous country singer himself. Priscilla Presley Instagrammed a photo that Lambert reposted of herself and daughter Lisa Marie Presley listening to the song about life at Graceland.

She will forever be known as the wife of Elvis. So Priscilla Presley no doubt felt like she was standing next to her Good Luck Charm as she posed in front of a giant photo of the music icon & her former husband in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The 69-year-old gave a small smile as she stood next to the massive portrait photo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Taking on the role of the Wicked Queen in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, Priscilla Presley proved to be a natural under the spotlight. Starring alongside Jarred Christmas and Warwick Davis she appeared to be in her element while taking in the boos and hisses from the crowd, looking positively evil in her costume, which she described as 'sensational' on the opening night of the show. Wearing a bejeweled horned headpiece with a floor length gown which braved a thigh high split, the actress commanded the audience's attention.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
