I'm Yours

Elvis Presley Lyrics Words & Music by Don Robertson / Hal Blair Elvis Presley Lyrics

Don Robertson: Hal and I originally wrote this for the wedding scene in the Presley movie, Blue Hawaii. We were on a roll that year. The songs just seemed to pour out. We were living a few houses away from each other and were together almost every day, living and breathing songs.

I'm Yours

My love I offer you now
My heart and all it can give
For just as long as I live I'm yours
No arms but yours dear will do
My lips will always be true
My eyes can only see you, I'm yours

And as the years roll along
Your joy and tears I'll gladly share
And when things go wrong dear
Just hold out your hand and I'll be there
With every beat of my heart
With every breath that I take
Now and forever, sweetheart, I'm yours

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
